What is UnityWave?
UnityWave is a writing organization founded by a passionate queer student from New Jersey. Aimed at illuminating queer history, UnityWave publishes monthly research articles educating readers on historical topics such as queer voting rights, homelessness, and educational standards. UnityWave's blog is also a highlight of the organization, featuring posts on a wide range of topics from Charli XCX to Madonna. UnityWave also runs a fundraising campaign named "UnityWave Uplift." This campaign spans the entire 2024 year and allows both the blog and its readers to support the LGBTQ+ community. Here at UnityWave, we are very excited to see what’s in store.
📋 Our Priorities 📋
Community Connection aims to strengthen bonds within the LGBTQ+ community and foster a sense of belonging and solidarity. UnityWave creates a safe online space where individuals can come together to learn new things, support each other, and support queer organizations. By building a reader's community, we aim to create an inclusive environment that empowers LGBTQ+ individuals and strengthens the community.
Historic Pride Preservation aims to preserve and celebrate the rich history of LGBTQ+ activism and culture. By sharing digital blogs, articles, and fundraising efforts, UnityWave will ensure that the stories and struggles of past generations are remembered and honored. This priority will inspire future generations to continue the fight for equality and foster a deeper understanding of the LGBTQ+ community's journey.
The Education Empowerment priority aims to provide readers of our content with a comprehensive learning experience. As LGBTQ+ history is often overlooked or misrepresented in mainstream education, UnityWave pledges to highlight lesser-known queer icons and their contributions to society. By sharing their stories, we hope to inspire and educate our readers, fostering a deeper understanding of LGBTQ+ history and culture.

Founder & Writer, UnityWave
"The main goal was education—especially for young people like myself who may have felt the same isolation I did. Our research articles focus on critical historical topics such as queer voting rights, homelessness among LGBTQ+ individuals, and educational disparities. By publishing these pieces, we aim to shed light on the struggles our community has faced and continues to face, all while celebrating the progress we’ve made."
